Mary Tideys husband, John Moor Brewis, was not at home when the census was taken. Mary gave her relationship to the head of the household as “Wife” which was corrected to “Head”. She gave her marital status as “Married”. Because Mary’s husband was a marine engineer we can infer that he was at sea at the time of the census.
