Research Notes
The census taker’s route (see below) is very similar to the route taken for the 1871 census. Although Manor Farm was not identified in that census it appears that the Ball family continued to reside on the same farm after Daniel Sr. died in 1879. No occupation is listed for Daniel Ball Jr. here and his spinal degeneration may have made him an invalid by this time.
