Research Notes
It seems highly likely, although not absolutely certain, that Joseph Harrison, Daniel Ball’s apprentice, and Ellen Ball, Henry Ball’s granddaughter, went on to get married and father Henry Harrison and his siblings. The names, ages and birth places of Joseph and Ellen that appear in this census are an exact match to their marriage certificate, as is Joseph’s occupation.
