The home of John Molyneaux and Mozella Harrison, Henry Harold’s great aunt, from the late 1870s through the mid to late 1880s. Their three children, Georgina Harrison, Ernest Brindle and Gertrude Darbyshire were born at this address. The family later moved to 386 Ormskirk Road where they were enumerated in 1891.
Orchard Street was a residential street near the town centre running south from Powell Street / Greenough Street to School Lane to the east of Standishgate (see map). Lisa – please insert orchardstreetmap1907.jpg.
Orchard Street still exists today running north from School Lane but it is in an area of town that has been extensively redeveloped in the intervening years. Lisa – 1 Alliance St, Wigan, Lancashire gives the approximate modern location.
